Property Issues

Code Violation

A city or county finding that a property breaks building, safety, or maintenance rules.

Tax-delinquent properties often have open code cases, fines, or demolition orders. Some code liens survive a tax sale and pass to the buyer.

Check with the local code enforcement office before bidding; fines can exceed the property's value.
