Property

Legal Description

The written description of a property's boundaries used in deeds and court records.

A legal description identifies land by lot and block, metes and bounds, or survey system. It is what a deed actually conveys.

If the legal description on a tax sale notice does not match the parcel map, investigate before bidding.
