An online auction feature where you set a maximum and the system bids for you up to that amount.
With proxy bidding, the platform raises your bid automatically, one increment at a time, only as far as needed to stay ahead, and never past your maximum.
Set your maximum from your research, including costs after the sale, not from the excitement of the auction.
